Just thought I would let anyone who cares know that I'm still alive And that I will be returning with some new work soon. I have been out for a while working out in Colorado as an Engineer for a gas company. Due to the economy I was fortunately laid off and back home where I belong (for now). Anyway, just a heads up for anyone who might have enjoyed my work... There will be updates soon!

Art is what it is because of what it means to the viewer. Take a picture, any picture, and keep it simple, it's just another picture. Steps, children, grass, a river. But take that very same picture, give it a meaning, feeling, inspiration, emotion, and that picture becomes art. A walkway upon heaven, innocence, a lucious beauty, creation of life. It is the secret behind the image, the all powerful human ability to relate.

Along the lines, we see pictures of people in distress, and it shocks us, or surprises us. We begin to imagine beyond the picture, to the person's history, feelings, sacrifices; to what we would be if we were them. A picture is what we do not know, and what we do know.

So instead of sleeping I decided I would work on a few more pictures from my visit to Margate, NJ and try to get them up for you guys...

So I just got back from Best Buy and picked up my first DSLR camera. It's a Canon XT! I'm excited that I have something on a bit more of a professional grade to work with. Although it's just a beginner camera I'm still really looking forward to finally being able to work with RAW in Lightroom among other techniques... So, soon enough I should have some really good shots up!

Definitely really welcoming the new flavor of things after such a horrible past two weeks! I don't know what the heck I was doing!
